Title: Is “Reactor Neutrino Anomaly” a signature of Sterile Neutrinos?

Abstract: "Reactor Neutrino Anomaly" refers to the deficiency of observed neutrinos from various experiments compared with the simulations. Various authors proposed different explanation to this, the most attractive one is the existence of light mass sterile neutrinos. However, there are also works suggesting that the missing of various corrections in the simulation lead to this anomaly. We examine the effect of First Forbidden (FF) decays on the $\beta$-decay neutrino spectra by performing microscopic nuclear structure calculations. By analyzing the FF decay branches of even-even nuclei we conclude that FF decays may be responsible for part of the missing neutrinos in this so called "Reactor Neutrino Anomaly". Further calculations and more experimental data are needed for a firm conclusion.
